Jim Tighe reports:
A surprising morning at LP. Only one set of numbers looked good this
morning. The spillway was blowing 13-18 mph. Betsy flew out of Barclay
Bay (disregarding all posted speed limits) on her usual 5.5. I rigged
the 6.2 and 95 L All Terrain. Did well for a few runs. The wind backed
off so I came in and switched to the 7.5 and Go board. All was good.
There were 7-8 kite's and only two lonely Windsurfers. Lake was filled
in pretty well but light. Kiters all seemed to be having a good time as
did the sailors. Glorious Morning.
And yet another heads-up to follow local laws:
Yesterday a motorcycle cop pulled the guy behind me over coming down the
hill. He was really tailgating me coming down the hill from the dam.
Not sure where he (the cop) was hiding but he appeared out of
nowhere.
So mind that 45 mph speed limit on the hill people.
